![]() | Dr. Maik Bittner, Lead Manager for Surgical Oncology at Siemens Healthineers, Germany Dr. Maik Bittner is a physicist with extensive experience in the medical technology industry. He currently serves as Lead Manager for Surgical Oncology at Siemens Healthineers, where he drives innovation in image-guided surgery and interventional pulmonology. Previously, he held global marketing roles in cancer therapy imaging and surgery, overseeing strategic product launches and market expansions. Dr. Bittner earned his doctorate in quantum chemistry and a diploma in physics from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, where he also studied political economics. |
![]() | Prof. Dr. Edmund Villaroman, Head of Thoracic Surgery, Lung Center of the Philippines Prof. Villaroman is the head of the thoracic section of the Institute of Pulmonary Medicine at St. Luke’s Medical Center and the president of the Lung Center of the Philippines Physicians Association. He is the past president of the Philippine Association of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Inc., board director of Philippine Board of Thoracic Cardiac and Vascular Surgery and the secretary general and founding member of Southeast Asian Thoracic Society. Dr. Villaroman is a pioneer in robotic and minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He completed his medical degree and residency training at the University of Santo Tomas, The Philippines. He pursued his fellowship training in Thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Lung Center of the Philippines. |
![]() | Prof. Dr. Chien-Ho Tsai, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Hospital Taiwan Dr. Tsai is a Senior Consultant Thoracic Surgeon and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Surgery at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Hospital in Taiwan. With extensive expertise in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, lung and esophageal cancer treatment, trauma surgery, and critical care, he has been at the forefront of advancing surgical techniques and patient care in Taiwan. Dr. Tsai obtained his medical degree from China Medical University and pursued his residency and fellowship training at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, where he honed his skills in thoracic and trauma surgery. He further expanded his expertise at the Shock Trauma Center, University of Maryland, USA, focusing on trauma and critical care management. Throughout his career, he has played a crucial role in integrating cutting-edge surgical innovations and advanced imaging technologies into thoracic procedures. |
